In Argentina economic cycles repeat every 6 to 10 years. Also historical mistakes are repeated, due to mainly a weakened institutionalization and a strong power concentration on the executive power.
Today in Argentina there is a debate about the intention of the executive power to obtain the retirement funds and repurchase the public debt. It wasn’t enough obligating the AFJP (private retirement funds) to invest an important part of their assets on public bonds, but now the intention is to absorb the commitment of paying the retirement plans in exchange of keeping the funds.
