Yahoo will be using its last silver bullet

In two weeks, in the context of the advertising week, Jerry Yang will launch a new advertising platform, which name and details are hidden under seven keys.

What we can know is that it will be tested today by the first betatesters advertisers, who will be the ones to provide the feedback for the launch.

I suppose that we will be able to see the influence of the acquisition of Right Media in the final product.

Meanwhile, while we wait we can see what they propose to improve:

Together with the launching an alliance between Yahoo and News Paper Consorsium, an organization that groups more than 200 local newspapers.

With this play, Jerry is making what is likely to be the last attempt to improve Yahoo’s image, the stock value and to propose an efficient advertising alternative.

We hope that it goes well since the industry needs alternatives to Google.

  1. Yo le tengo fe. Hace muchisimo que Y! no me sorprende, pero esta vez si solamente toma algunos features de RM y los hace mainstream va a generar un cambio grande en el mercado, creo.

    El peligro es que lo hagan tan mal que afecte mas su valuación como para que sea adquirida por cualquiera…
